The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) — comprising BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, and Assam Rifles under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India — are inviting online applications for 282 Group 'A' Medical Officer posts across three categories: Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command), Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant), and Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant). Vacancy Breakdown

Eligibility / Qualification

Post No. 1 – Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command):

• MBBS degree
• Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the relevant subject
• D.M. / M.Ch. along with 03 years of experience

Post No. 2 – Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant):

• MBBS degree
• Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the relevant subject
• 1.5 or 2.5 years of experience

Post No. 3 – Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant):

• Recognized Medical Qualification of the Allopathic Method of Medicine
• Eligible to apply for Rotating Internship (mandatory before appointment)

Age Limit & Application Fee

Age Limit (as on 08 September 2026):

• Post No. 1: Up to 50 years
• Post No. 2: Up to 40 years
• Post No. 3: Up to 30 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST — 05 years; OBC — 03 years
